Chair for Events
Born and raised on the Island of Guam with a Chamorro Father and Filipina mother, I was raised with wholesome values family with cultural similarities of helping people. This moral compass is what keeps me going and motivates me daily both personally at home and professionally in my career.
As a husband and father, I do my best to make time for the important things. I believe in combining adventures, memories and most importantly, setting an example for my two daughters. Over the years, track and field, soccer, and private school activities were definitely a high priority for me and my wife, Cynthia. With me eldest married and my youngest away at college, , Cynthia and I are spending our time again dating, traveling and exploring on our own as empty nesters. While we miss our daughters dearly, we are proud of them growing into the young ladies they are now.
Careerwise, I have been in the financial industry for over three decades and for very good reasons, found my current home with MyPoint Credit Union. This organization values people and doing the right thing. As the Contact Center Manager and a member advocate, I thrive in a fast pace environment assisting members remotely with creative solutions. This position helps me to make a difference in peoples lives for the better both short and long term with the products and services we offer. I have a personal mantra of “Integrity above all” and with our CEO’s philosophy of “Take care of our members and they will take care of us” our focus truly compliments each other. Recently, I have come to a point in my career that enables me to again get involved with the community and more importantly a group with goals that mirror my own. Helping others. The Filipino Association Chamber of Commerce does this well. In the events I attended this year the theme is helping our kababayans and other professionals succeed. I have met several individuals in the chamber and their “heart” is definitely felt during my conversations and observing their actions with each other. I am hoping to become more active in this community and while there is much to learn and people to meet, I am sure that it will be a fun journey.
